Are they real? It’s up to you what you call them and what you believe. For many they are just a lot of fun Some of these beliefs have lasted thorough many years and generations. This is why there can be many variations.

 Have been told through family member and friends for years and will continue for years to come. Please keep that in mind as you read this. It’s up to you what you want to believe.

 Bees ~~ Are bearers of good will

Birds ~~ A bird that flies into a house, foretells an important message.
          ~~ Have bird droppings land on your head it is good.

Broom ~~ If a broom falls down, unwanted guests are to arrive.

Cats ~~ A black cat that crosses your path is bad luck.

        ~~ Mothers should always keep cats away from babies because they "suck the breath" of the child.

Crow ~~ One's bad, Two's luck, Three's health, Four's wealth, Five's sickness, Six is death.

        ~~ Crows feather that shows up on a grave after you have walked away and then came back is a sign from the departed that they are with you (old Indian belief) sent to me by Penny

Cows ~~ Are worshiped in some cultures.

         ~~ A field with all the cows lying down it is going to rain.

Cracks ~~ Step on a crack, break your mothers back.

Cross Roads ~~ At an undecided journey.

Dove ~~A descending dove represents the Holy Spirit.

              ~~They represent love and peace.

Drop a knife ~~ A man is coming to dinner.

Drop a fork ~~ Company is coming, that is welcome.

Ear are ringing ~~ Someone is talking about you.

Feet ~~ To have itchy feet, you are going to walk some where new.

Find money on the Ground ~~ Good luck

        ~~ Find a penny, pick it gives it away, have good luck through out the day.

Finger ~~Tie a string to your index finger to remember something.

Four Leaf Clover ~~To find and carry is good luck.

Garlic ~~ Wear around neck to ward off Vampires.

Goat ~~ Is consider evil in some cultures.

Horse Shoe ~~ Consider good luck when displayed.                 

                   ~~ It is lucky to hang them over doorways.

Horse ~~ If you see a White horse make a wish.

Ladder ~~ To walk under when is consider bad luck.

Leaves ~~If all the leaves are blowing inside out, it is going to rain.

Mirrors ~~ To break a mirror will bring the breaker seven years of bad luck.

Nose ~~ To have an itchy nose, you are going to kiss a fool.

Owl ~~ Symbol of wisdom

Palm ~~ If left on itchy going to receive some money.

           ~~If right one is itchy you are going to shake the hand of some one.

Phoenix ~~ Is legendary bird that represents resurrection.

Rainbow ~~ There is a pot of gold at the end of one.

                     ~~ To see one it is good luck.

Rabbits Foot ~~ Good luck charm

Salt ~~ To ward off evil

          ~~ If spilled throw over you left shoulder to ward off evil.

Shooting Star ~~ When you see one make a wish

Skull ~~ Death, bad luck

         ~~ Used as a warning sign of our own immorality.

Sky ~~ Red sky at night sailors delight, red sky in morning sailors                  take warning.

Spider ~~ If you kill one it will rain. If one lands on your clothes it is consider good luck.

Storks ~~ Deliver babies

Tea ~~ If you pour tea in some one else house, the woman of that house will get pregnant.

Threes ~~ Things happen in threes

Triangle ~~ Symbol of life

Umbrella ~~ Is bad luck to open one inside.
